Peanut Butter, Banana & Honey Sandwich

Peanut Butter, Banana & Honey Sandwich

Peanut butter + banana + honey + salty crispy bacon is an absolutely ridiculous combination.

Not everything that hits the Blackstone needs to be a smash burger, steak, or giant breakfast.

Sometimes four slices of bread and a few ingredients from the pantry are all you need.

And that’s exactly where this Griddled Peanut Butter, Banana & Honey Sandwich comes in.

We’ve all had a peanut butter and banana sandwich. But put that same sandwich on a hot griddle and suddenly you’ve got something completely different.

The bread gets golden and crispy.

The peanut butter gets warm and gooey.

The bananas soften slightly.

And then that honey works its way through everything, giving you just enough sweetness in every bite.

It’s ridiculously simple—and that’s exactly why I like it.

This would make an awesome quick Blackstone breakfast, an afternoon snack for the kids, or even a dessert after you’ve finished cooking dinner on the griddle.

And there are plenty of ways to make it your own.

Add cinnamon. Throw in some chocolate chips. Add chopped pecans for some crunch.

Or do what I’m probably doing…

Add bacon. 😂🥓

That sweet honey and banana against salty, crispy bacon could take this simple sandwich somewhere completely different.

Sometimes cooking isn’t about making things complicated.

It’s about taking something familiar, putting your own spin on it, and seeing what happens.

And this one might just surprise you.

Until the next one… we’ll see ya.

👨‍🍳 Directions

1. Preheat the Blackstone

Preheat your Blackstone Griddle over low to medium-low heat.
You don't want the griddle too hot—the goal is to slowly crisp the bread while warming the peanut butter and bananas inside.

2. Build the Sandwich

Spread a generous layer of peanut butter onto the inside of each slice of bread.
Arrange the sliced bananas over two pieces of bread and drizzle generously with honey.
If you're using cinnamon, sprinkle a little over the bananas.
Top with the remaining slices of bread.

3. Prepare for the Griddle

Spread a thin, even layer of mayonnaise or softened butter over the outside of both sides of each sandwich.

4. Griddle the Sandwiches

Place the sandwiches directly onto the Blackstone.
Cook for approximately 2–3 minutes per side, checking occasionally, until the bread is beautifully golden brown and crispy.
Flip carefully and cook the second side until golden.

5. Slice & Serve

Remove the sandwiches from the griddle and let them rest for about a minute.
Slice them in half and finish with another light drizzle of honey if you're feeling it.
Then get after it while they're still warm.

🌟 Bright Spots Pro Tip

Keep the heat down!
Peanut butter, bananas, and honey don't need much heat. Cooking over low to medium-low gives the bread time to develop that beautiful golden crust without burning before the inside gets warm and gooey.
And if you want to take this thing completely over the top?
Add bacon. 🥓
