Add the OnionMix the diced onion into the beef and cook until softened and beginning to caramelize.4. Build the Cowboy BeansPlace a disposable aluminum pan or griddle-safe pan on the Blackstone. Add the baked beans, cooked beef and onions, bacon, BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.5. Let Them Get Happy 🔥Stir everything together and let the beans simmer over lower heat for about 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until everything is hot, thick, and saucy.🔥 Bright Spots Pro Tip
Cook the meat on the griddle first! Browning the beef, bacon, and onions directly on the Blackstone gives you those caramelized flavors before everything ever hits the beans. Don’t rush the simmer either—the longer those flavors hang out together, the better these get.Cowboy Beans on the Blackstone
There are side dishes… and then there are side dishes that make you forget about whatever they were supposed to be served with. 😂🔥
These Blackstone Cowboy Beans definitely fall into that second category.
Bacon. Ground beef. Baked beans. BBQ sauce. Brown sugar. A little mustard and Worcestershire. You already know where this is going.
What I love about making these on the Blackstone is that you get to build the flavor right on the griddle. Get that bacon crispy, brown the beef, soften those onions, and THEN bring everything together.
Sweet, smoky, a little tangy, and ridiculously hearty.
Put these next to a couple of smash burgers or some brats and you’ve got yourself one heck of a backyard meal.
Good Food. Good People. Bright Spots. 🔥
Until the next one… we’ll see ya! 🔥
